KARACHI – The passengers at the Karachi airport boarding PK-731 to Jeddah escaped an untoward incident as the mole (the protective pathway) from the lounge to the aircraft broke on Sunday.

Airport officials said that mole No. 25 had broken, however there was no fatal accident as all the passengers had already roomed into the plane. The officials also reported that the aircraft is undamaged in the incident. In the meantime, the director-general of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) ordered an interrogation of the matter. The interrogation will be conducted by the principal director of airport services (CAA) and will present its report to the director-general within three days.
