The finance minister met the TRCG along with other official of FBR. The meeting was led by the chairman FBR Mr. Mumtaz Haider Rizvi who informed the finance minister about the previous discussions of FBR and the TRCG. The discussion was carried out on advancing the tax policy in a way to maximize the revenue. The discussion also includes budget proposals for the forth coming budget which will be presented in May 2012. Dr. Hafeez emphasized the need to speed up the revenue collection process so that the current target of Rs. 1952 Billion can be achieved. He completely apprehended the endeavors of FBR in the so far revenue collection and is pessimistic about FBR that it will meet the current target.
