KARACHI: Rail tracks in Karachi, Hyderabad and Nawabshah were blown up with four back-to-back blasts on Friday morning in which at least two persons have been injured.

Train services on up and down tracks have been suspended. According to details, two explosions hit railways’ up and down tracks near Baloch Colony here in Karachi, injuring two persons. The injured have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

Heavy Damage: Train services at both the Cantt and City railway stations have been suspended. Railway tracks were also blown up in two bomb blasts near the Hussainabad area in Hyderabad and the explosion in Nawabshah occurred between the Nawaz Dahri and Sarhari Railway stations. No casualties have been reported in either city. Explosions in all three cities are reported to have occurred within minutes of each other and appear to be a coordinated attack. Police said that the explosions have caused considerable damage to the railway track.

Rescue teams have been dispatched to blasts’ site in all cities and police have cordoned off the area. Meanwhile, train schedules on both up and down tracks in all three cities have been suspended, railway authorities said.
