ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani has to face the verdict today at the Pakistan Supreme court.

The Supreme Court will declare either Gillani is guilty of refusing the courts orders to enquire and reopen the correction cases against President Asif Ali Zardari from Switzerland. Gillani has to confront imprisonment of about six months and to vacate the office. While the members of the assembly strongly oppose the act and argue that judges are performing ultra-wires. President Zardari and his late wife were accused of holding a sum of about $12 million in Swiss banks that are earned by corruption in 1990s. The Swiss government closed the cases against Zardari in 2008 when they found him head of the state that has the immunity from prosecution. Gillani also affirms the immunity of Zardari but the Supreme Court, in December 2009, withdrawn the relief available against the prosecution of Zardari and other political leaders.
