ISLAMABAD – Lucky Cement Limited seeks to provide surplus electricity generated to power supply companies of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa through its plant in Darra Pezu.

An official of Pakistan’s largest cement producer, Lucky Cement, disclosed to sell 15 to 20 megawatts (MW) of electricity to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) which could help mitigate the power shortage in Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan. Lucky Cement has power generation plants at its production facilities in Karachi and Pezu, which are capable of developing about 175MW electricity. Both the plants have installed Waste Heat Recovery systems that contribute an additional 22MW of electricity.
