ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), on the pronouncements of the Supreme Court, has established an inquiry into the multi-billion rupees scam of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) and directed the inquiry team to collect all relevant records and material from the FIA in this regard.
Admiral (Retd.) Fasih Bokhari, Chairman NAB, commanded over the executive board meeting on Wednesday to approve the establishment of the interrogation into the affairs of Pakistan Steel Mills, and decide the allegations against individuals responsible for losses, together with taking immediate steps for the recovery of despoiled public stack. The apex court, in its judgment last week, had proposed NAB to appoint a team of investigators to examine the huge scam, and file an acknowledgment within three months. The NAB executive board has also given a green light for carrying on an inquiry against former CDA Chairman, Kamran Lashari into unauthorised allocation of land, valuing 6000 square yards to M/s Siza Foods Pvt Ltd, leading a land expert to be a character of the inquiry commitee.
